Is any machining required?

No, our clocks are designed for self assembly without the need for any machine tools or specialist tooling.

What specialist tools are required?

No specialist tools are required. Everything required is provided as part of the kit.

What comes with each clock?

As well as all the components necessary, customers receive a detailed set of instructions plus a screwdriver, a clock oiler and some clock oil.

Do I need any engineering, horological or clock building knowledge?

No not at all.

How long does it take to build a clock kit?

Following the instructions, a total novice should be able to assemble and have the clock running in under a day. Someone with some engineering or clock building experience could have it together in 2 – 4 hours.

Do you offer support if I have a problem?

Of course. Email info@kits4clocks.co.uk with the problem and one of our team will be happy to assist.

What material options are available?

Currently plain brass or 18k gold plated, however if you would like a silver plated one for a silver anniversary for example then please email and we'll be happy to quote.

Can I buy a clock already built?

Absolutely. If you don’t fancy building it and just fancy admiring it, we have your back....and it costs no extra!

Where do you deliver to?

We offer worldwide delivery.

If I place an order how long is the current lead time?

Our clocks are made to order in batches, so it depends where we are on the current production run. Maximum will be 3 months but it could be as little as 1 week or 1 month. Lead time will be confirmed with your order. If you should need it quicker or urgently as a gift, please contact us and we’ll see what we can do to accommodate you.
